This is almost had to believe. I thought it was joke at first. But over and over again my friends kept sending me this Ebay link to an E30 M3 for sale for $224,000. Yes, nearly a quarter of a million dollars for an E30. And it doesnt even have an S14 motor. But thats catch, its fitted with a 5.7ltr V10 motor from an M5... !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! And dont bring a trailer. Bring a trunk full of cash. A big trunk full of cash.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets it too.. This has to be one of the cleanest M3 builds of all time without going full blown race car mode.

So what they’ve done is taken an unreliable small car with amazing handling and made it even more unreliable and what I can only assume is not shitty handling due to the added weigh and are now charging supercar money for it? Absolutely bonkers, CP

It will only be the most expensive if someone actually pays for it. I don’t see that happening.

I’d rather have the 10 E30s, thanks.

I was not aware that there was a 5.7 liter 10 cyl m5. Thought it was 5. Huh

Yeah! I can in no way imagine people taking an older car and a newer car, mashing them together with tons of attention to detail but a really high price and making a viable business out of that!

I’m curious, what makes the e30 m3 unreliable? I daily drove mine for 13 years, and put a little over 150,000 miles on it, maintenance was just routine with the exception of a head gasket. I know people who have more problems with “reliable” cars than I did with my unreliable small car.

I would never pay that much, but on the other hand it would be pretty cool to have. I actually kinda like it!

This engine in this car is a Dinan 5.7l stroker, which was an upgrade option on the E60 M5 and Ewhatever M6

I thought you had the displacement wrong and that it was actually an S85B50...but then I checked eBay and it says it’s a Dinan stroker 5.7L. Yowza. That engine is worth a quarter of the cost of this thing, if not more. I’m not wild about how they flattened the intake plenum to fit under the hood, but I guess it’s not going to make a huge difference if the airflow isn’t optimal. This car is so outrageous I don’t even know what to make of it. I wonder how the thing handles. I know an S50 swap in an E30 M3 produces good results, but man that V10 has to be a serious boat anchor.
